ApplyTalon is built on a local-first architecture. Your job application data is stored on your device and never transmitted to our servers. This policy describes what data we collect, how it is stored, and how you can control it.

1. Data Collection

ApplyTalon collects the following data to provide its autofill functionality:

• Job application form field data (name, email, phone number, address, work authorization status, and other standard application fields) that you manually enter into job application forms
• Non-identifiable telemetry data (ATS detection success rates, runtime errors, aggregated feature usage statistics)

ApplyTalon does NOT collect:

• Passwords, credit card numbers, or national identification numbers
• Browsing history or activity on non-career websites
• Resume file contents
• Data from any website other than supported ATS career portals

2. Data Storage

All job application form field data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your device. This data is never transmitted to, stored on, or processed by ApplyTalon's servers.

Non-identifiable telemetry data is transmitted to ApplyTalon's servers for product improvement purposes. This data cannot be linked to your identity.

3. Data Handling and Use

Your locally stored form field data is used solely to auto-fill job application forms on supported ATS career portals. This data never leaves your device.

Non-identifiable telemetry is used to monitor extension performance, identify bugs, and improve ATS platform compatibility.

4. Data Sharing

ApplyTalon does not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Non-identifiable, aggregated telemetry data may be used internally for product development.

5. Data Deletion

You may delete all stored data at any time using the "Nuke Vault" feature in the extension sidebar. You may also delete data for individual ATS platforms or individual fields through the Data Inspector. Since all personal data is stored locally, deletion is immediate and permanent.

6. User Consent

By installing and using ApplyTalon, you consent to the local storage of form field data you enter on supported career portals. ApplyTalon begins observing and storing form field data when you navigate to a supported ATS career portal. You may disable data collection for any ATS platform at any time using the toggle controls in the extension sidebar.
