Privacy Promise.
In 2026, privacy isn't about better encryption—it's about less data collection. ApplyTalon is built on a "Local-Only" architecture. Your career data belongs to you, on your device.
The Zero-Knowledge Standard
We have no access to your professional history. Name, address, phone number, and work experience are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. We cannot read it, we cannot sell it, and we cannot "lose" it in a cloud breach.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
ApplyTalon does not transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to our servers. This includes your name, contact information, resume details, or specific answers to job portal questions. Your professional narrative remains on your local hardware.
2. Identification & Subscriptions
To manage your subscription, we utilize a Unique Identifier (UID) generated through a one-way hash of local system values. This UID is specific to your browser instance and cannot be reversed to identify your hardware or person. We associate this UID with your payment data solely to activate your professional tier features.
3. Local Sovereignty
Because your data is stored locally, it is not synced across devices or browsers. Your data in Chrome on your laptop is distinct from your data in Firefox on that same machine. This architecture ensures that even in the event of a service-wide event, your data remains siloed on your own machine.
4. Telemetry & Performance
To ensure ApplyTalon works across 20+ job portals, we collect limited, non-identifiable telemetry (e.g., UID, portal URL, number of fields detected). This data allows us to monitor the health of the extension and prevent fraud. This telemetry is encrypted in transit using standard web protocols.
5. Deleting Your Data
You are in total control. You can wipe all local professional data via the "Delete All Data" button within the extension at any time. Removing the extension from your browser also removes all associated local storage values.
