Technical Pillar: Zero Cloud Footprint
The most secure database is the one that doesn't exist. ApplyTalon does not store your resume or professional data on central servers. We have removed the "Vault" so there is no door for attackers to kick down.
1. Local-Only Storage
ApplyTalon utilizes your browser's native Local Storage API. Your data lives where you workâon your personal computer. This ensures that your professional narrative is only accessible to you when you are logged into your local device and active on your browser.
2. Data In-Transit
The only data that leaves your device is non-identifiable telemetry and subscription status. All communication between the extension and our licensing servers is protected using standard Industry-standard TLS encryption. Your actual career content (PII) is never transmitted.
3. Identity Hashing
We identify installations through a one-way hashing of system values. This creates a non-reversible Unique Identifier (UID). This ensures that while we can manage your professional tier access, we can never link that access back to your identity, files, or specific hardware signatures.
4. The "No-Sync" Security Model
Unlike competitors who sync your "Career Profile" across the web, ApplyTalon maintains strict siloed instances. This prevents a compromise on one device from affecting your search on another. Security is maintained through physical and digital isolation.
5. Browser Integrity
We rely on the security sandbox of modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). By staying within these native APIs, we ensure that ApplyTalon operates with the same high-security standards as your browser itself. We do not use third-party analytics or scripts within the extension to prevent data "leakage."
